Before you start skating with us you will need the following: Pads (elbow, knee, wrist) Helmet Mouthguard Skates Right now we practice at a rink so rental skates are available for you to use for a very limited time until you get your skates. We do have some pads and helmets available for use when trying out and a very short period after that for a small rental fee. Those are on a first come first serve basis since we are limited. Also, if you are nervous and haven't been on wheels for a while, a few of the girls have offered to go to an open skate with potential recruits to get their rink legs back. Just message us and we'll try to hook you up with one of the awesome Vixens.

I'm interested and definitely could use some help at an open skate but I've no way of getting to the rink and even if I did, I wouldn't know when the open skates are.... help please? Thanks!

We will announce on this forum, on our facebook page and on our website when the public skates are. There will most likely be another one at the end of March, closer to our tryouts.
I personally don't live in Morgantown, but some of the other girls do, maybe you could get a ride with one of them.

I would love to do an open skate. I havent been on roller skates in probably 5 years, but this sounds like too much fun! It would be nice to meet with the girls, talk about the team, and see if I can still stay up on wheels. I live close to the Fairmont rink, so any evening/weekend would work. Let me know.

I would love to be a roller derby girl, but i am not very good at skateing lol. i have my own skates, and hope to get more gear soon. I am currently reading the handbook i downloaded to learn as much as i can and i hope to make it to some of you'r open skates. So if i can get good at skateing maybe in the future i will be rolling" along with ya!

We only offer public skating with us maybe 3 times a year...so def. come March 10th!!
We can teach skating and all the skills...give it a try!
